1. Macaroni Penguins were discovered by a Frenchmen. It's name was later used to describe flair and style in 18th century England. The folk song "Yankee Doodle Dandy" refers to the macaroni penguin.
2. The Emperor Penguin is the largest species.
3. The Little Blue Penguins are the smallest of penguins.
4. Yellow-Eyed Penguins live in New Zealand.
5. Galapagos Penguins live around the equator. (Don't know about you, but that one surprised me. I had no idea penguins lived in hot areas!)
6. A Rockhopper Penguin bounces up to 5 ft in the air as it moves from rock to rock.

Penguins are fascinating creatures. Penguins, who live in Antarctica, have to endure -140 degree Fahrenheit (-60 Celsius) temperatures! Also, penguins drink salt water, and are able to filter out the salt leaving only the water to digest. It's a good thing they can filter the water, because penguins spend up to 75% of their time in the water.

Some penguins have made statements below. Your task is to identify each penguin species based on the statement. For example, "I live on large icebergs on the open ocean." is a statement made by a chinstrap penguin. Good luck. Winners receive prizes.

Elephants are fascinating creatures. Scientists have found that the elephant's brain is larger than a human. In fact, an elephant is a very intelligent animal, who can recognize themselves in a mirror and remember things for a very long time. Another claim to fame: elephants are the only mammal that cannot jump. Could you imagine what the ground would feel like if they could jump?
